Information about AGLOCO cash payments

Here is some information about cash payments in “FAQ” form.

When are the cash payouts going to begin?

The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below). I have spoken about this on the blog twice before:

Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. While we do not know how large our initial revenue will be, we do know that AGLOCO has operating costs to pay. It is important to remember that AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick scheme”, and we maintain that the most prudent way to build AGLOCO as a sustainable company is to calibrate Member distributions to company earnings. As such, the cash payouts will not begin until there is a comfortable balance between AGLOCO’s free cash flow and AGLOCO’s expenses. It is important to add that all Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members.

Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

AGLOCO will be keeping Members informed of our financials (after a few months, when we start getting realistic numbers) so they can track our progress on this. At this point, if our new ad system is operational in August, we should be able to give meaningful numbers for September.

How are you going to pay me if you don’t have any of my payment information?

Before the cash payments begin we will verify your billing information and ask you to specify how you would like to be paid. We currently plan to have several forms of payment available, including check, direct deposit, and PayPal. Remember that only one account per Member is allowed.

Is there going to be a “minimum” payout level achieved in my account like many affiliate programs have?

Yes, a minimum will be required to keep transfer costs down. All sums not distributed are accumulated in the Member’s AGLOCO account until the minimum is reached.

How are the cash payments going to work?

So, here are three of the potential ways AGLOCO can pay Members. As you know, when you use the Viewbar you accumulate hours (currently up to 5 hours/month, and plus a credit of referral hours at a 25% rate). These hours, both your monthly totals and your overall accumulated hours, are the basis for cash distributions.

Monthy Viewbar hours: Based on the hours you and your referrals surf each month, you will get a share of the “distribution pie”. Your share is equal to your percentage of the total hours accumulated by all Members (including referral hours). How would this work? Here is a hypothetical example. Suppose in a given month AGLOCO distributes $100,000 for that month’s hour accumulation. Also suppose that the total hours all Members have accumulated that month is 1,000,000 hours. This means that AGLOCO would pay $0.10 for each hour you are credited with that month. So in this example if you had accumulated (yourself plus referrals) 500 hours that month, you would be paid $50.

Total Viewbar hours: AGLOCO may also pay in the same manner as above based on total accumulated hours. This would “weight” the payment more towards those Members who joined and began accumulating hours earlier (including the time before the cash payouts have begun).

AGLOCO buying Hours for Cash: Here’s how it would work. AGLOCO would set a price per hour (say, $0.15), and we allow Members to sell their hours back to us at that rate. There would likely be a minimum number of hours you could sell. For instance, AGLOCO may only allow you to sell in 100-hour blocks. Hours that you sell would be deducted from your total accumulated hours for future distributions.

I realize that I have not given a concrete answer to “what an hour is worth”, “what a referral is worth”, or “the date you will be paid”. I wish I could. But, I maintain that to keep AGLOCO a sustainable venture, we must calibrate cash payouts to our actual positive cash flow, lest we suffer the same fate as AllAdvantage.

Wait a second, what about “shares”?

Our website talks about paying Members in “cash and shares”. As I’ve said before, I need to stay away from talking about “shares” in this blog. The lawyers would kill me if I went anywhere near talking about it because it is too easy to unwittingly violate a country’s securities laws.

AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick” scheme and never will be. By steadily using the Viewbar and building a sustainable business, we can make sure that Members will get distributions for years and years as we improve the usefulness of the Viewbar as a part of each Member’s desktop.

AGLOCO Revenue and Cash Payouts

The Viewbar has been out for just about three weeks at this point. We are crossing 20% activation and hope to exceed 50% by the end of the summer. New verified Member signups are back near record levels and growing.

As I mentioned in my last post, stabilizing the Viewbar, the website, and the ad rotation has been our first priority. While it took more time and more money than we had planned, the Viewbar is performing well (ad rotation aside). It has been seamlessly upgraded on Member computers a couple of times and the percentage of Members with Viewbar problems is low. In stabilizing the website, among the steps we took was adding an alternate Viewbar download site (tucows.com). Now that we are more comfortable with the website stability, we will also begin updating the website more frequently again.

As far as the ads go, I am pleased to announce that we have just reached an agreement to make major improvements toward increased Viewbar revenue. As noted earlier, we launched the Viewbar and our ad volume swamped the ad server of our third party supplier. While it has improved, the current system is still not working up to the standards needed (weak rotation ability and unable to connect properly with several networks). Given that the current state of affairs makes it difficult to implement our search, profile and geographic targeting (which are necessary to make Viewbar ads effective), we sought a new arrangement which will give all that to AGLOCO. This will take 5 to 6 weeks to be activated. As a result, revenue for the months of June and July will be low, as the current system cannot be improved any faster.

We will also have the ability for an AGLOCO online ad auction system like Google’s AdSense so advertisers will be able to buy Viewbar ads directly.

As a global community, AGLOCO Members live all over the world. To maximize Member income, we will need to address that with our advertisers (as well as with our Members). Our new ad system will have a country specific system for advertisers (we are told that this will be available at the end of the summer and not for all countries). At that point we will likely have to ask each Member for a language preference to make the advertisers aware. Keep in mind that it is very costly to support multiple languages (it’s easy to just display them, but language support includes full Member support, email communication, etc., in that language), so additional supported languages will probably not be forthcoming before that.

In order to reach profitability quickly (which is necessary to make cash distributions to Members - as I will detail below), we keep AGLOCO expenses to a minimum. Many of you make great suggestions for improvements we could make to AGLOCO, but unfortunately they are not yet in our affordable budget. We have tried to implement the less costly improvements while recognizing that the major changes will have to wait longer. We do hear all of your suggestions, but AGLOCO needs to become sustainable and make Member distributions as fast as possible. To keep expenses low, for example, in the year or so we have been working on AGLOCO, no development team member has been paid for their work (not to mention that some of you have been working very hard to help build AGLOCO as well and have not yet received the rewards of that work either). And with that we are turning our attention to revenue (and distributions to members).

Members often ask when they will be paid by AGLOCO, and how much they will be paid. I must admit that I have a bit of hesitation to address this issue, only because I do not want Members to misunderstand anything I say and/or take it as a “promise or prediction” of what AGLOCO will exactly do in the future. So, I will write the following with the disclaimer that everything I say below, specifically regarding when Members will be paid or how much, is only an illustration and does not constitute a promise of any sort. Capiche? Capiche.

Here are some common errors:
Viewbar is compatible with Windows – Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Mac and Linux versions are not available yet.
You should hit “run” instead of “save” during the installation process
You may have a firewall block you (With firewalls the Viewbar needs an OK for its viewbar.exe program and its update.exe program – otherwise it will not function).
You need to put in your correct Member ID and password (if you can not remember yours, go to the AGLOCO website sign in page and request a new password)
No green light in the Viewbar logo
- Make sure you are connected to the Internet and are actively using a browser (IE or Firefox)
- Give it 2 minutes to connect to the database.
If you have any other problem get a new Viewbar, you can always try restarting the Viewbar. If that still doesn’t work, you can also try reinstalling the software.

What are the features of the Viewbar? How does it work?
We’ll address the Viewbar’s features from left-to right:
Options: Right-Clicking on the “AGLOCO” logo on the left-hand side of the Viewbar brings up several options. In addition to access to the AGLOCO website and your Account page,
- Dock: You can choose to dock the Viewbar at the top or the bottom of the screen
- Skin: The Viewbar is currently available in four colors: Blue (default), Green, Red, and Purple
- Language: The Viewbar is currently available in both English and Chinese
- Advanced Options: These include a place to put your proxy settings (if you access the internet through a proxy) and your auto-update settings.
Accrual Indicator: The second letter “o” in the AGLOCO logo tells you whether you are currently accumulating AGLOCO Hours. If it is green, you are. If the indicator is red, you are not currently accumulating hours (most likely because either you are not actively browsing the internet or because you have already reached your monthly maximum).
Ad space: The largest space on the Viewbar is for a text ad. If you see something interesting, click on the ad to check it out! The ad will open a new tab or browser window, so your current browser will not be interrupted.
Search: Conduct your internet searches using the toolbar. We have several search engines available, including Google, Yahoo, or Amazon.
- To select your search engine: Click the logo on the left-hand side of the search field and a drop down menu of all available engines will appear
- To search: Type your query in the search field and either hit “enter” on your keyboard or click the magnifying glass button.
Favorites and Tools: The “gear” button has tools for AGLOCO Members. Currently, the tools are simple, but this section of the Viewbar will be expanded over time.
- Favorites: The Viewbar has all your favorite websites from Internet Explorer and Firefox, as well as a few AGLOCO-selected websites
- Tools: Right now this enables you access to the Windows calculator and Windows calendar. This capability will be expanded with more tools in future Viewbar versions
Minimize: The down arrow on the right side of the Viewbar minimizes the Viewbar software. When minimized, the Viewbar will be off your screen and will not be monitoring your internet surfing. You will not accumulate hours for the time the Viewbar is minimized.

Ads aren’t showing up properly on my Viewbar. What do I do?
Try waiting a few minutes, as we may be conducting routine maintenance on the ad server or experiencing another temporary issue. If that doesn’t work, try restarting the Viewbar. To restart the Viewbar, right click on the Viewbar icon (a green “o”) in the Windows icon trey on the lower-right hand corner of your screen, and select “quit”. Then, right click again on the Viewbar logo and select “sign in”.

How do I log in as another Member from the same computer?
There should be an AGLOCO icon in the icon trey on the lower-right hand corner of your screen (a Green ‘o’ ). Right-click this icon and select “sign out”. Then, right click on the icon again and click “sign-in”. The sign-in screen will pop up and you can sign in as a new Member.

How do I get credit for using the Viewbar?
Simply surf the internet while the Viewbar is visible on the screen. The software calculates the time you spend actively surfing and tallies it. The current maximum is 5 hours/month. You also get credit for your referrals’ surfing.

How do I minimize the Viewbar and get it off my desktop?
Click the down arrow on the right side of the Viewbar. When minimized, the Viewbar will be off your screen and will not be monitoring your internet surfing. You will not accumulate hours for the time the Viewbar is minimized.

Agloco Update - Viewbar release this Monday (Tuesday in Asia)

Sorry to be so long between posts. There was no meaningful news to give you until today.

We have made a workaround regarding the ad server problem and we will finally be launching the Viewbar. Some, but not all, of our ad networks will be connected. These networks have enough ads on them, so we are comfortable releasing the software as we continue to work on the outstanding issues that remain with the other networks. All of the preliminary Viewbar functions are there, but with the ad problems we will not be initially launching with the personalized ad targeting. We will continue to develop this capability after we have launched and when it is available the new version of the software will be incorporated into your viewbar automatically.

Remember that this is the first version of the Viewbar (v1.0), and with the Viewbar being automatically self-updating software, gradual improvement (both aesthetically and functionally) will appear seamlessly (you also have an option to turn off this feature and ask for updates manually, though we recommend leaving the auto-updating feature active so that you always have the latest software as improvements are made).

This weekend the Viewbar download is being moved from the test servers to the main servers. We will NOT need to temporarily take down the web site as we had thought, so we will not be sending out an email warning on that. If the transfer goes smoothly, the first download emails will be going out Monday morning California time (early Tuesday in Asia).

Please remember:

If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to “viewbar.exe” and “update.exe” (please check “Permit Access Always” for proper installation of the Viewbar).

The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers.

I’m sure you are all just as ready for the Viewbar release as we are!

AGLOCO Viewbar review by John Chow

By: Brian Greenwald (Agloco Official Blog)

We recently decided to give a Member who is not on the development team a chance to use and test a recent version of the AGLOCO Viewbar. John Chow has written (and posted a video) about his first look at the software. Here are his opening thoughts:

The AGLOCO Viewbar is real and it does exist. I know because I’m using it right now. Akshay Mavani sent me a beta Viewbar to try out and give my impressions.

The Viewbar software is a 1.8 MB download. When installed, it takes up 5 MB of space. The Viewbar is not any bigger than the Windows task bar. The version I am running shows ads by Google and Google is the default search engine. The ads are not targeted at the moment because it hits only one ad server. The rest of the ad servers have not been connected.

40 reasons why you should join AGLOCO

By
  1. You can make money safely, legitimately, and easily.
  2. It takes maybe three minutes to join.
  3. You need nothing more than a working computer connected to the Internet.
  4. You don't have to enter any sensitive information to join.
  5. You don't have to buy anything to join.
  6. You don't have to buy anything ever once you are a member.
  7. It's easy to cancel if you don't want to be a member any more.
  8. You'll only download a small free toolbar that won't install anything else on your computer, hog its memory, or read your keystrokes.
  9. You'll make the same amount of money even if you never click on anything.
  10. AGLOCO is the real deal, not some little scam. A good number of notable entrepreneurs are backing it. A Google search with keyword "agloco" will net you 1 million pages and counting.
  11. Very important: AGLOCO's business model has been tried before and proven to work. In fact, AGLOCO's predecessor paid out over $120 million to its members (this is what finally convinced me).
  12. You can dramatically increase your income by referring other people to AGLOCO, because...
  13. ...AGLOCO pays you a portion of the surf money earned by those you referred up to 5 levels below you. So...
  14. You can recruit your friends and all make money together when you help them get referrals. Thus,
  15. The sooner you sign up, the more folks will come to you for info and the more likely it is that you will be the original seed of a large referral network in your community.
  16. You never have to read emails from people you don't know.
  17. You'll never be asked to send emails to people you don't know.
  18. You don't have to change anything you normally do on the Internet. You surf, AGLOCO pays.
  19. AGLOCO's revenue source is genuine: a Viewbar members use that shows targeted advertisements based on your surf history, with the money paid to advertise going back to the members. That's not magic; that's common sense.
  20. The Viewbar software you will download will not invade your privacy; it simply looks for keywords on the pages you view in order to show related ads.
  21. The Viewbar is maybe the size of your taskbar at the bottom of your screen - in other words, it's small and won't interfere with your browsing experience at all.
  22. AGLOCO has a thorough privacy policy that explicitly guarantees personal information will never be sold or given away.
  23. In fact, AGLOCO has not one but three agreements every member must agree to. The bases are covered.
  24. AGLOCO has a CPO - Chief Privacy Officer - whose responsibility is to make sure your privacy is never violated. His name is Ray Everett-Church, and he has more experience protecting privacy than probably anyone else on the planet.
  25. AGLOCO doesn't play; anybody providing fake information, signing up twice, or otherwise trying to cheat the system will be detected by AGLOCO's anti-hacking instruments. This is an honest enterprise through and through.
  26. By signing up, you support the company that will change Internet advertising for the better.
  27. By signing up, you get to own a piece of the company that will change Internet advertising for the better. AGLOCO belongs to its members, which is to say that...
  28. ...you will own stock (more if you refer people) in a company that is likely to become huge and thus your stock will be worth something awesome when AGLOCO goes public on the London Stock Exchange.
  29. You will likely find that other AGLOCO members, especially now in the early stages of AGLOCO, are some of the Web's savviest users and developers, and you can learn a bunch from them.
  30. You get to be on the cutting edge of World Wide Webware development, which means that as AGLOCO grows, its members will benefit from...
  31. ...discounts when members buy from companies affiliated with AGLOCO;
  32. ...possible help with spyware/antivirus protection (remember, everyone from Fortune 500 companies to millions of users will all benefit from a better browsing experience);
  33. ...community forums where members can meet and discuss not just stuff, but ways and member-based projects to make AGLOCO better (it is our company).
  34. Our company is in good hands. AGLOCO pays 10% of its revenues to Infomediary Services Corporation (ISC), which is simply the management company that is responsible for managing AGLOCO. The other 90% of the revenue belongs to us. This 10% will attract the designing talent needed to make AGLOCO great. The corresponding 10% of AGLOCO's shares go to a foundation dedicated to providing every human being on Earth with Internet access.
  35. AGLOCO's management team will not get stock in AGLOCO. This ensures that those in positions of high responsibility don't hijack the company.
  36. Though circumstances will vary, you can get paid and earn shares no matter where on Earth you live.
  37. If you choose, you can donate your earnings and shares to the charity of your choice.
  38. If you get involved in referring more members, you might be able to quit your day job and actually spend time at home, with your family, on vacation, wherever - and still make money.
  39. If AGLOCO fails, you won't lose any money because you paid none in the first place.
  40. AGLOCO ain't gonna fail. The last time such an opportunity existed, people made over $120 million in under 2 years, when far less people had Internet access and conditions weren't yet right for such a company to go public. Now, with record spending on advertising and calls from all sides for less irrelevant advertising and a better business/customer connection, the world is more than ready for an economic network that gives back to its users.

Explaining AGLOCO in 2 minutes - #2

By: Brian Greenwald

Once you get someone’s attention, you might have about 2 more minutes to explain the details. There are a number of points you could hit, and it sometimes involves determining what the person would be most interested in hearing. Remember, you may not have time to explain EVERYTHING, but after referring them to www.agloco.com (perhaps using your referral link), the website can fill in the details.

Below are some topics you might want to talk about (from the same graduate school friend who gave me the 30-second pitch):

Why does AGLOCO use a referral system?

“The most valuable part of AGLOCO is its Members. By referring others to AGLOCO, you provide them with value and for that, AGLOCO thinks you should get some of that value you provide.

It makes sense. Think about YouTube. The first, most active users were on the site when the software was buggy and there were few videos available, but their Membership (and referrals to others) is what made the site a success. When it was sold for $1.65 billion, how much of that did these first users see? Nothing. With the AGLOCO referral system, Members get more for building the network.”

Member Privacy

“AGLOCO takes privacy very seriously and keeps all of your personal information strictly confidential and secure. Some other popular Internet companies take your personal information, use it, profit off it, sell it to others, and then give you nothing. AGLOCO will not share ANY of your Membership information with any unauthorized third party, and YOU share in the profits made from more personalized advertisements.

AGLOCO’s privacy policy stipulates exactly what information might be collected. It is 100% transparent and spyware-free. Moreover, while you are paid for the time the Viewbar is up, you can turn it off at any time. To ensure that your privacy is kept paramount, AGLOCO has hired a Chief Privacy Officer, Ray Everett-Church. Ray was the Internet’s first Chief Privacy Officer, and co-author of ‘Internet Privacy for Dummies’. You can trust that our privacy is safe with AGLOCO.”

Where AGLOCO makes money

“There are a whole bunch of ways AGLOCO makes money on behalf of Members. Here are just a few quick examples.

First of all, the Viewbar has a search function you can use to search yahoo, google, etc. Every time you use this search bar, the AGLOCO community makes money.

Second, the Viewbar has space for a text-only ad (no loud, flashing banners – just unobtrusive text). These ads make money for the AGLOCO community.

Third, AGLOCO has affiliate programs with a number of online retailers. Buy from one of these sites and AGLOCO makes money.”

Explaining AGLOCO in 30 second - #1

By: Brian Greenwald

Step 1: Set the stage

You might already know that almost everything you do on the Internet makes money for someone else. And that’s not just when you spend money. Just about every time you view an ad, click an ad, search, buy something, download something, join a community, or post a story, picture, or video, some person or some company is making a fee, commission, and/or sale from your activity.

Some people aren’t familiar with the economics of the Internet and how Internet users are constantly creating value for middlemen and getting none of it back. Either way, it’s a good idea to start with a bit of context.

Step 2: How it works

If you want to join as a Member, you download a piece of software called the Viewbar. It’s like a toolbar that sits at the bottom of your desktop, and it will be available soon. Essentially, it collects on your behalf some of the revenue you would usually generate for other people while you conduct your everyday browsing. Then, it returns most of this money to you.

This explains briefly how one uses AGLOCO, and it will help them get a mental picture of what AGLOCO is.

Step 3: Why it works

Why does this work? You win because you now get your share of the money for doing what you would normally do. AGLOCO management wins by keeping a 10% cut of this revenue (like Brad Pitt pays his agent a 10% fee). And the companies win, since they get your business. All you need to do is have the Viewbar up on your screen while browsing the Internet like normal.

Some people think AGLOCO “sounds too good to be true.” You may just have to remind them why the value proposition is sound.

What is AGLOCO ???

Do you know what kind of community AGLOCO is.

Many of us are familiar with online social networks, such as MySpace and Facebook, as well as online professional networks, like LinkedIn and Doostang. These networks are based around communities communicating with one another in the personal (social) or professional environment.

AGLOCO is an Economic Network. An Economic Network is based on similar roots, but also adds the driving principle that individuals who have joined together as a group can be economically stronger than the individuals alone.

This is the driving principal behind any group trying to become stronger by joining forces: business groups (like trade associations and the Chamber of Commerce), countries (like the formation of NAFTA and the EU), or people (like labor unions and buying co-ops).

For individuals it is simple. They can demand more from the entities that had been controlling them and finally achieve the power they deserve. Much like segments of the labor force saw they were being exploited 100 years ago, today we see the Internet consumer being economically exploited by many Internet companies. AGLOCO wants to change that.

Individual Internet Users are already creating value all over the Internet, and only now are they coming together as Members of AGLOCO to claim that value. The purpose of an economic network is for the Members to acquire as much of the value they create as possible, and they shouldn’t have to change their Internet usage behavior to get it.

This is the whole basis for creating this company. The Internet holds many unique and valuable ways for individuals to “interact with each other and with groups.” Wikipedia is showing this with free access to information on the Internet. AGLOCO can accomplish the same thing with free access to value created on the Internet.

AGLOCO Recruiting Tips

Here are some recruiting tips from McCall's (He hit 9,000 AGLOCO Referrals in less than two months):

Point #1 – Know why "Every Internet user should join ALGOCO" - (here are the reasons I use)

1. All Internet users help create value on the Internet and should get their fair share of it – and AGLOCO has a great plan to get it for its members.
1. If Google can afford to pay AOL 10 cents a search
2. and if YouTube (with users doing 90% of the 'work') – can be sold of $1.6 billion,
3. then there is plenty of 'excess' value to share with the users.

2. What share will an AGLOCO member with no referrals get? –
1. They will get their share of AGLOCO's profits . In my personal view this will eventually be $100 to $200 a year – but at the beginning much less.
2. In addition to the cash payments members will get their share of the ownership of the company – This could be much more than the annual cash check due to the multiplier effect of earnings.

3. All Members get security and utility – There is a short list of items on the AGLOCO site, I think AGLOCO members will drive the utility of the Viewbar to become very useful for all members.

4. It is the right thing to do – AGLOCO is nothing short of an Internet Economic Revolution – and YOU
should be supporting it. That is pretty much how I say that.. (- like Wikipedia is Internet revolution in
freedom of Internet information)

5. Membership is always free and all data is totally private (no spyware). AGLOCO never gives
out any member data to anyone at any time (Read Privacy Policy) And they have one of the top anti-spam and privacy people in the world as their Chief Privacy Officer, Ray Everett-Church, (he wrote the "Internet Privacy for Dummies" book and the "Anti-spam for Dummies" book.

Point #2 – Know why "All AGLOCO members should recruit new members."

1.
AGLOCO can better serve its individual members the bigger the total membership gets.
This is because AGLOCO can get:
1. Better deals with business partners the larger the network is (size matters when making marketing deals).
2. Better Viewbar software (the more users the more other companies will want to connect their software with the AGLOCO Viewbar).

2. Recruiting members can increase their 'share' of AGLOCO by recruiting new members.
1. AGLOCO does reward network builders who recruit new members (recruit five new members and 'double" your share – recruit 25 and increase your share 5 times)

Point #3 – Know how to "Motivate new members to recruit for AGLOCO."

1. Give them a plan

1. Most people use email – so 'ask them when they are going to send them.'
2. Most potential builders are worth a personal call or visit – ask your new recruits to list the people they now who would be good AGLOCO builders

2. Give them the tools
1. Sample emails
2. Answers to questions they get asked (I told them to email them with any questions they get.

Point #4 – Just keep at it.

1. Keep recruiting new members every chance we can.
2. Keep in touch with your recruits to help the keep recruiting as well.

Simmons Report: AGLOCO

Analysis:
This analysis is centered around the amount of personal value an AGLOCO user could get, with a special focus on a user who is actively referring new users to AGLOCO. Material used included the AGLOCO website
(membership agreement, privacy policy, FAQs and general information pages). management interviews, critical blog postings concerning AGLOCO, internet advertising and commerce data, valuations of other Internet communities and the business model economics of Google, Yahoo, MySpace, You Tube, etc.

Conclusions:
The valuation conclusions are based on AGLOCO reaching two million users in a two year time span:
  • A user who has no referrals should receive ownership in AGLOCO worth on average about $150. (plus monthly cash distributions)
  • The average value of an AGLOCO user’s referral network should be $30 each in ownership shares plus the referrer’s share of monthly cash distribution.
  • The average AGLOCO direct referral should be worth in excess of $3,000 each (see example below for details)
  • The analysis also shows a range of monthly cash distributions of between $5 and $15 a month per user.
  • The AGLOCO business model looks theoretically sound – (assuming they get to a decent size quickly - at least 500,000 users within nine months to a year)

AGLOCO FAQ

What do you need to know about AGLOCO...

Q: What is AGLOCO all about?
A: AGLOCO is the first Internet based economic network, which enables you as a Member to ‘Get your share of the Internet.’ Advertisers, search companies, online merchants and other businesses currently pay lots of companies to deliver people like you to them to get your attention and sell goods. With AGLOCO they will be paying YOU.

Q: How do referrals work?
A: AGLOCO pays you an hourly rate when the friends and family you recruit(called “direct referrals”) use the web with the Viewbar running, as well as for people your referrals recruit (called“extended referrals”). Extended referrals continue for four levels past your original referral, and there is no limit to the number of referrals you can accumulate.

Q: Is the AGLOCO referral system multi-level marketing?
A: No. Multi-level marketing involves members selling products to new members that they recruit. AGLOCO is basically the opposite. No Member ever pays AGLOCO. Instead, AGLOCO gets money from companies (like advertisers, search companies and online merchants) and distributes cash and shares to it Members.

Q: Isn't this a scam?
A: No. It is founded by people with a history of successful startups, and it was recommended by by two people : David Lawrence and RayEverett-Church. It doesn't cost anything to join, so you have nothing to lose.

Q: Isn't this a Ponzi scheme?
A: No. It doesn't cost anything to join, so it is not a Ponzi scheme. Ponzi schemes are illegal, and the basics of an illegal Ponzi scheme are when the money you pay to join is then paid out to those who sponsored you. The problem comes when no one else is joining, the last people who joined lose their money. AGLOCO is NOT a Ponzi scheme.

Q: Is the Viewbar some kind of ‘spyware’?
A: No, The Viewbar is the opposite of spyware. Spyware sneaks onto your computer without your knowledge or permission, it steals your private information, and it’s nearly impossible to remove. Unlike spyware, the Viewbar is completely permission based, it keeps your information private, and you can always turn it off with a single click.

Q: Is it a virus?
A: No. When you download the toolbar from the AGLOCO site, it will be virus-free.

Q: Do I have to click on ads to make money?
A: No... all you need to do is to actively surf the Internet with the toolbar installed for up to FIVE hours PER MONTH, and get others to join AGLOCO to do the same.

Q: Will I make a lot of money?
A: I do not know how much money any of us will make. AGLOCO is very new, and the toolbar has not even been released yet.

Q: Do I need to buy anything?
A: No, AGLOCO membership is absolutely free. You will never have to buy or sell anything.

Q: After I join, where do I find MY membership link to pass onto my friends?
A: After you login, you will find your link under the green "Referral Center" button. It says:

Your personal automatic referral link is:www.agloco.com/r/XXXXXX

Q: How do I join?
A: You can join by clicking on my membership link: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBH7039

Agloco... Sometimes Free is too Expensive

This is AGLOCO's proposition, just three words: Own the Internet.

Whenever you are online, either surfing, blogging, clicking on an ad, making a purchase, all the money generated by your activities is pocketed by a small number of players. At AGLOCO they say not anymore!

AGLOCO is a global community, whose owners are its Members (you and potentially the millions of internet users out there). Their goal is to capture a significant portion of the value generated by our online activities and return it to Members in cash. Best of all, it is totally free, Members will NEVER have to pay anything, nor will they have to disclose ANY personal information!

How does this work? Once you sign up on their website, when available you will be able to download the Viewbar software, a free toolbar-sized application (half the size of a traditional Windows tool bar) that quietly sits on your desktop without ever hampering your online habits. That's all you need to do! Just continue using the Internet as you used to - no need to change your habits!

Do you have several individuals using one computer? You can have different AGLOCO viewbars to fit the profile of each user. Don't want to see or use the Viewbar at any given time? Just minimize it and the Viewbar stops working!

There are different ways AGLOCO can make money for its Members:
  • Cash: You get cash by surfing the Internet while the Viewbar is running. AGLOCO's profits are distributed back to its Members. And you can also receive real-time discounts should you choose to purchase from AGLOCO's partners. They will never include gambling or adult entertainment sites as partners.
  • Shares: In addition to cash, AGLOCO will give out shares in the company to its Members. Eventually, AGLOCO plans to go public and will be traded on the London Stock Exchange AIM. You can start earning stock options by keeping Viewbar active while you surf. In addition, you will gain extra shares by referring active users to AGLOCO.. (they lose nothing).
The more people join AGLOCO, the more value the community can generate for itself. The company believes those that build the community deserve more: your own profits become larger the more people you refer. You can accumulate hours not only from your Internet activity but also from those who you refer, and their referrals too. Up to 5 levels underneath you!

Remember, this is FREE, you don't lose anything. All you have to do is sign up, download the Viewbar and that's it. Build your network and refer friends, family and colleagues to AGLOCO and earn even more!

The guys behind this idea include several Stanford MBA's and a few individuals who started AllAdvantage back in 1998, which gave over $100 million to its users before falling victim to the burst of the internet bubble. Today, the context is much more favorable: The sophistication of on-line commerce, the rapid emergence of communities, the wealth of advertising revenue sources, etc. Isn't it time you got your share of the Internet?

Don't wait any longer. This is a win-win opportunity, and you'll make it even more profitable for yourself when you start referring friends and relatives before others get to them! If you guys want to use my referral to start I would appreciate it: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBH7039 - My Link for Referrals.
